The Siege of Power


Chapter 1: "Research and New Beginnings


Caleb had Pogue contact the others about what he learned from his mother.
Tyler only showed up since Reid is still angry with Caleb.
When Pogue and Tyler got there, Caleb was already done looking through the pages of the Book of Damnation.

"Hey man, did you find them in the book? asked Pogue while taking a seat.

"I wouldn't even know where to look. I don't know their names, they could be here and I can't tell ".
Caleb closed the book hard in frustration.

"I think you need to calm down. We don't even know if they are a threat. Your Dad said they are here to help, we should wait until they are here and then freak out later if they're  a threat". said Tyler with a smirk.

"I trusted Chase and look what happened. I want to be careful, I don't like the fact that they know us and we don't know nothing about them".

Caleb went to grab another book, missing the looks shared between Pogue and Tyler.

Upstate, New York - 3 days ago


In an old mansion, in the bedrooms of an 17 year old boy and girl, they are packing all their things into suitcases and boxes.
"We're only staying for the end of our senior year sis, why are you packing so much? " asked her brother.

"You can never have too many things, anyway, I'm done. Let's go Julian".
The girl left all but one bag and went downstairs.
She left her brother with five large suitcases.
"What's taking so long? Hurry up". She shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
Julian rolled his eyes and under his breath he muttered "Unbelievable".
He grabbed two bags and went downstairs, continuing the same routine until all bags were in the limo.

"Be careful, watch and take care of each other. Be safe".
Their father Eli said and than hugged both his children.
"We need to do this Dad, for Mom".

"I know, look after Juliana for me".

"I can take care of myself ". said Juliana.

Eli chuckled. "I know Mon Chere".
Eli kissed her on her forehead and watched them get in the limo.
"Your other things will be shipped to our summer cottage in Boston, Massachusetts. I told the help to be ready for your arrival. Au Revoir, Mes Enfants".
Eli stood there watching his children drive off, saying a silent prayer for their safety back to him.


Hours Later


Inside their private jet, the Rourke twins began discussing their plans for Spenser Academy.

Three Hours Later


The Rourke twins arrived at Massachusetts, where another limo awaited them.
They got in and the chauffeur drove until they reached their new home, an large cottage in the middle of an forest.
Juliana got out first and had a look at their home.
"Cute" Juliana said with sarcasm in her voice.
She went ahead inside and Julian helped the chauffeur with the bags.
When everything was settled, Julian and Juliana sat down at the dinner table and started eating an delicious meal prepared and cooked by their Chef Hugo.
Julian decided it was time to speak about their purpose here.
"Our first day in school will begin Monday, we will let our presences known to the Sons of Ipswich".

"I hope all goes well ". said Juliana with a sigh.
Julian nodded his head in agreement.


Next Chapter: School starts again and the newcomers make their presences known.

The Siege of Power - Prologue

Prologue - One Month Later

"In truth he was a strange and wayward wight,
Fond of each gentle, and each dreadful scene,
In darkness, and in storm he found delight;
Nor less than when on ocean- wave serene
The southern sun diffus'd his dazzling sheen.
Even sad vicissitude amus'd his soul;

Caleb Danvers and Sarah Wenham are parked outside the building of Spenser Academy dorms, kissing goodnight after a date to the movies.
Ending the kiss, Sarah said; "So how does the training go with the guys?"
Caleb chuckled, "Great, if you like spending more time fighting than actually training. Reid, I swear has become more of an asshole lately than ever, how are we suppose to prepare ourselves against Chase if all we do is fight?

"What did Reid do?". asked Sarah.

"You mean besides not listening to me. He thinks that I'm being paranoid about Chase and said that I was weak if I couldn't kill Chase, that I don't deserve my new heighten powers. I told him that he could never be at my level and told him to stop being such a bitch. I told him to accept he will always be third best. I turned to walk away and he used a spell to throw a stone at me, I ducked in time and fell in an open grave. Pogue and Tyler yelled at him and when I got out of it...

"What happened Caleb?" asked Sarah.

"Something happened...I lost control of myself and my powers. I forcibly pushed him through a tombstone...

"Oh My God...Sarah covered her face with her hands.

"We healed some of his abrasions and broken bones, but we decided to take him to the hospital to make sure nothing else was wrong internally. We lied to the doctor and nurse, told them that he fainted and we didn't know why".

Sarah feeling wretched embraced him.
"Is he still at the hospital?"

"No, they did some x-rays and there's nothing wrong with him. He's back at the dorm with Tyler".

" That's good news".

"Yes it is, but it doesn't change the fact I screwed up everything. He's so pissed that he refuses to let me see him".

"I'm sure things will calm down eventually and you both will forgive each other. Just let him cool off".

"Yeah, maybe". Caleb sighed. "I need to leave before I get you in trouble with a teacher or someone else. I'll see you tomorrow".
Caleb kissed her and Sarah got out of the car. She held the car door opened for a second to say" Everything is going to be fine". She smiled and than closed the door. She walked towards the dormitory and Caleb drove off, thinking about what Sarah said.

(A/N: FYI, I love Reid, so don't think I'm bashing him, these guys are like brothers and fight like it, oh and the guys were training on a graveyard, just letting you know.)

Parking his car in the garage, Caleb walked up the stairs and entered his home.
When he reached the living room, no one was there.

"Mother. where are you? ".
He walked up the stairs to his mother's bedroom and knocked on her door. No answered, so he entered and she wasn't there either.

"Mom!".

"In your bedroom, darling".

Caleb walked in confused.
"What are you doing here?".

"I wanted to remember my son when he was just a child instead of the grown man you have become".

Caleb's mother stood in the middle of his room and extended her arms to hug him.
He returned her hug.
"Mom, what's wrong? I can tell your worried".

Evelyn released him and walked to the bed, sat down and motioned him to sit near her.
"Before your father died he whispered something to me. Chase is too powerful to kill. The boys and yourself can't defeat him alone. Your going to need help. Your father told me that two strangers are coming to Massachusetts to help".

"Why didn't you tell me this before? Who are these people?".

"Sweetheart, I don't know much then I just told you and I didn't tell you because you were going through so much already, with your father's death and ascension.
You've been through so much for someone your age, I couldn't add more to it".

"Mother, I can take care of myself. This is valuable information that needs checking into. I have to call the others to check all the books and records again to find out who these people are and if their a danger to us".

"You do that dear, I'm going to bed".
Before Caleb could say anything she was gone.
Caleb called Pogue to come over tomorrow morning for important information.
